24/1/18 Lough Currane was on the wild side which is not surprising with a strong SW wind blowing down the lake, so you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know today’s Salmon Results and to be fair it wasn’t fit to be out there. Wind as already stated. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 7.0 mm. Maximum air temperature 12.3c.
25/1/18 Again Lough Currane was on the wild side with a strong NW blowing with heavy showers as the anglers looked at the odds of catching the first Salmon of 2018, they all came to the same conclusion that an anglers meeting in the back Bar was the order of the day and could criticise their actions because the weather is Kat. Weather as already stated. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 9.0mm. Maximum air temperature 10.7c.
26/1/18 Mr. Rob Elson of the Crescent Bed and Breakfast and of http://thecrescentwaterville.ie/ “Brod and myself had a good few hours out on the lake today, 3 kelts safely returned, the last one, well when it hit the bait we thought it was the right feller taking a hell of a lot of line but not to be, we will try again soon.”
On the weather front as we all know we have had a lot of rain and sadly that trend is going to continue this evening with www.met.ie putting Kerry on a Yellow warning and they are predicting Rainfall accumulations of 25 to 40 mm, with the highest totals in the Mountains. 27/1/18 The Lough Currane Anglers are still waiting patiently for their first Salmon, all I can say is Thank God we Anglers have patience. Wind West light and overcast with the odd shower. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 15.8mm. Maximum air temperature 10.8c .
28/1/18 Lough Currane was all quiet on The SW front. Wind SW fresh to strong and overcast with light misty rain. Yesterday’s weather amount of rainfall 9.0 mm maximum air temperature 12.4.

29/1/18 This reporting is getting like Les Dawson’s quiz program of the seventies, Blankety Blank quiz Show and why because that’s exactly what Lough Currane Fishery produced today, was a Blankety Blank. In defence of the fishery, there was bright sunshine and a light to calm wind from the NW. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 0.2mm. Maximum air temperature 12.2c.

30/1/18 There were four boats manipulating the Waters of Lough Currane and with all their efforts all they caught were a few Kelts. Wind SW light to calm with reasonable cloud cover. Yesterday weather, amount of rainfall 4.8 mm. Maximum air temperature 12.2 c.

31/1/18 Today wasn’t fit to be out manipulating the Waters of Lough Currane and for good reason, there was a strong WNW wind blowing with violent gusts with the hale and snow showers, so sadly we are still waiting for that elusive Salmon so rock on February. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 1.6mm. Maximum air temperature 9.8c.
1/2/18 Conditions weren’t bad this day, but sadly My Noble Anglers are still waiting for strike one. Wind NW Fresh with showers. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 7.8mm. Maximum air temperature 9.7c. Total amount of rainfall for January 238.2 mm.
2/2/18 It was a cold day on Lough Currane today and for good reason, there was a cold but light NW wind with light showers. Surprisingly My Noble Anglers caught nothing for their efforts. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 2.8mm, Maximum air temperature 8.4c.
3/2/18 The weather is more in control of the fishing than the angler and today was a perfect example with a freezing cold NNW blowing with violent gusts this morning, plus a mixture of hale, sleet and snow, as we anglers ponder our next move in the lure and flie department, well my advice is stick to the old killer lure’s and flies and stick to the lines and the rest is in the lap of the gods! Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 4.2mm. Maximum air temperature 8.5c.

4/2/18 Lough Currane was like a milk pond all day, with bright sunshine. There were a few boats out, but sadly all they caught was a cold and a bit of a suntan. Wind NE light to calm. Yesterdays weather, amount of rainfall 3.4mm. Maximum air temperature 7.8c.
